Returning to New York for its 6th appearance, Harlem Hafla is an exciting day of belly dance workshops and performances---with soul! Headlined by Master Performer and Instructor Ahava! Harlem Hafla brings daytime dance workshops and an evening stage performance with an accomplished lineup of dancers, Uptown!
The workshops, led by our headliner, take place at Riverbank State Park (679 Riverside Dr, New York, NY 10031). Later that evening, an array of accomplished belly dance performers take the stage, with a special performance by our headlining instructor, Ahava!
Our workshops are priced at $35 for Early Birds, and will go up to $40 after January 1. Early Bird discounts will show at checkout.

- 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Modern Egyptian Technique and Combos (Technique for All Levels) with Ahava.
- 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.: Lunch break and Shop with Vendors.
- 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.: Hip Technique (Technique/Drills for Int/Adv/Pro) with Ahava.
- 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Sound Check and Photos for Dancers Only.
- 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.: Showtime!

MODERN EGYPTIAN TECHNIQUE AND COMBOS
(Second Floor Dance Studio)

Technique for All Levels. In this workshop, Ahava will focus on technique that incorporates sharp hip work, intricate shimmy layering, and dynamic floor patterns all weaved together into fun contemporary combinations.

Technique/Drills for Int/Adv/Pro. In this workshop, Ahava teaches how to contrast and execute sharp, soft, precise and gooey hip work. Ahava will teach strength exercises and drills to help strengthen your legs and glutes. This workshop will add dynamic precision to your dance repertoire.
